Richard Brendan, MA, is the Founder and Spiritual Director of JourneysFire Productions. At an early age, Brendan had a fascination with theatre, radio and television and was recognized for effortlessly blending his interest and talents to create original award-winning performances and productions. As a result, he developed a profound appreciation for the power that music and media have to influence hearts and minds.
Later, while serving ten years as a hospice chaplain, Brendan witnessed time and time again, that in the end, it is only Love and the simple things that matter most in life. His interest in peace-making found him making many trips to Haiti where the humble and joyful ways of the Haitian people further sparked his desire to help cultivate a better way of living and loving within our global community.
In 1997, Brendan returned to media, producing and hosting a radio show called Celebrate the Journey, which evolved into JourneysFire, the popular weekly program that served as the catalyst for JourneysFire Productions. Today, this unique non-profit company provides the perfect palette for blending Brendan's eclectic talents and life experiences with his humanitarian efforts to inspire others through positive use of media and the arts.
As a wise counselor, captivating speaker and storyteller, Brendan is as comfortable in sold-out concert halls as he is alone in his studio behind the radio mic. He is known for artfully blending his down-to-earth playfulness and sometimes fiery, no-nonsense approach, with a quick wit and a caring heart. Brendan consistently speaks to our deepest desires. He inspires our fire. He challenges us to wake up and see that when we learn to hold Love as the eternal cornerstone in all relationships...with ourselves, one another and the Earth, we cannot help but change our world.
